GP Conservation specialises in the treatment of glass, ceramic and stone of all types and historical periods

GP Conservation was founded and is operated by Guillaume Pons. Guillaume has been actively involved in ceramic and glass conservation since the year 2000.

Guillaume obtained two degrees from Paris 1 La Sorbonne, a BA Honours (Licence) in History of Art and Archeology followed by a four year Master Degree with distinction in Conservation and Restoration.

As a MA Student, he worked on objects from the Musee d'Art et Archeologie de la Ville de Saint-Denis and was taken as an intern at the Musee National de la Ceramique (Sevres) and at the private practice Atelier Dupin in Paris.

Guillaume moved to London in his final year of studies to complete two more internships at the Victoria and Albert Museum and Plowden & Smith.

In this private company, he was immediately offered a position as a ceramics and glass restorer and worked for three years before setting up his own practice.

Today GP Conservation undertakes projects in the conservation and restoration of ceramics and glass for a highly respected clientbase consisting of well known antique dealers and collectors in London.
